Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
So for that reason and others I will go again to Florence and I will take pictures of the St. Francis cycle in the Agnissanti and I will write the descriptive essay that no one has written in English as of yet! I will again go to Cape Breton in October and see colours like no where else on earth. I will tell my grandson that he walks like his grandfather and that his grandfather was a legend to the people who knew him and why. I will outlive the bills and the interest payments that loom as a constant presence in the background of my life. I will leave behind the critics and the nags who are forever muttering in their self-righteousness and read a book or two and write in journals and paste my pictures of barns and abandoned houses and live a quiet simmering life unto myself.
